ABOUT TEAM DINNERS

All players are expected to attend team dinners (an EHS football tradition).  Team dinners typically occur after practice on Wednesday (or two days prior to game day) and are held in the basement of the Evergreen Community Church of Christ at 29997 Buffalo Park Road (less than one mile past EHS on the right/north side of Buffalo Park Road).  The boys have always enjoyed this relaxed, off-field time spent with their teammates and coaches.

Parents are expected to sign up to bring 4 dinner items (entree, side, or desert) during the season.  If you have two boys playing football, you should plan for 8 dinner items during the season.  A tip is to sign up to bring 4 items to one team dinner so that your responsibility is not spread over the course of the entire season; but this is your choice.

Remember that 60 or more growing boys plus the coaches and team managers will be fed at team dinners, so the menus and signup sheet will be very specific regarding the (large) portion sizes which you will be expected to bring.  All items on the menu are available at COSTCO or Sams Club and will be specified as container sizes that are available at COSTCO or Sams Club.

Food must be brought to the church by 5 PM on the day of team dinners.  At least 4 parents are needed to set up tables and chairs and to serve dinner.  If you want to help with dinner, please arrive at the church around 4:30 PM.
